For this shoot I really wanted to just find hearts in our everyday world, but that didn't really work out. So I decided to put hearts where they are visible to other people and hopefully they would see the hearts and it would brighten their day. I painted two hearts on the window so that they were visible to people inside and outside of the building that happened to walk by.
My Shoot:
For this shoot I painted hearts on the photography room window so that people could see them as they walked by and hopefully their day was brightened. I took pictures of the hearts from different angles to create different backgrounds such as the green and yellow trees. Then just they west wing and some trees gave the photo a more everyday look. I like the pictures that show the textures of the hearts the best.
My Edits:
For the majority of this pictures I adjusted the lighting to either make it brighter or not so bright. Most of these pictures were really bright so I wanted to tone down the brightness. I also added a lens flair to the the brighter picture so that it had a more natural look to it. On another picture I made the background look a little over casted to give the picture a different feel. Personally I like the bright photo wth the lens flare because it looks like a more natural photo.
My Printed Photo:
This picture is of two hearts I photographed in the photography room. The hearts were drawn on the window and angled so that the trees and fall colors were able to be seen as the background. The top right corner is very bright because of the angle the sun was coming in at, but the brightness really highlighted the photo and brought it to life. Paint was definitely used to put the hearts on the window. Also the hearts were angled so that it wasn't just a straight shot. The hearts were arranged perfectly so that the brightness from outside lit them up. You also couldn't tell that the hearts were on a window and I really like that. Shape was used in this picture specifically with the hearts. The hearts are the main focus of the photo. I think they are the main focus because they are so large and clear compared to the slight blurriness of the background. Focal point is also seen in this picture because of the boldness of the hearts that really stick out! I like that the whole photo goes together, but also focuses on one specific part of it. This picture was taken to brighten someone's day and show them that no matter how hard life may get or how terrible the world might be right now, there is also a bright side that can make someone really happy. I really like that this picture has the fall colors in the background and also that it's just so bright! I also really like that the intent of the picture was to brighten someone's day.
